The Isle Of Eriska Lodge Spa & Island
Some components of the hotel are drained, canine-eared and would profit from consideration. The view from one of our home windows (between our bedroom/dressing area/rest room we had four) was of a roof space the place sections of piping, a tarpaulin, etc had been left by builders. Silk wallpaper in an upper corridor was peeling, a curtain in our room was torn vertically on the forefront and the piano’s foot pedals had been thick with dust. On arrival there have been cigarette ends strewn on the gravel at the front door, a discarded apple core in one planter and still the case the following morning when pointed out to staff. It would have been helpful to have had a discover to run the hot water as ultimately advised for 10 minutes to permit it to travel from its distant supply. We concluded that sizzling water had run out, not good for a 5-star hotel!
Attention to detail not as high as the lodge promises. No mirror or plug point in appropriate position . Problems of laundry resulted in towels not changed and room not cleaned for a day . Decoration in main resort rooms requiring instant consideration.
We didn’t eat within the restaurant so I can’t comment on this. I at all times really feel resorts like this typically try to be one thing they don’t seem to be, but this is not the case right here because it matches for both service and facilities. Meals & Drink
There are areas of the lodge thay are a wee bit drained for certain but the staff and the meals hold it at 5 star ranges. Beautiful location, your individual island to explore. We loved this place and would travel to Scotland again just to stay right here. We enjoyed the restaurant, the croquet pitch, excessive tea, the indoor swimming pool, free mountain bikes and the cottage. We completely enjoy our keep at the scenic Isle of Erika and highly advocate this resort. The roads resulting in the lodge and the hilltop accommodation were very poor.
- We concluded that sizzling water had run out, not good for a 5-star lodge!
- The most useful contributions are detailed and help others make better selections.
- These are categorized as Deluxe Rooms, which are spacious and welcoming and situated in the direction of the front of the house.
- Fine eating choice in major home was expensive with 2 teenagers at c£380 with drinks.
- A beautiful hotel set in fantastic environment.
- Golf course could be beautiful because of views however wants consideration.
Coffee/tea services had been expected in our room. After request one morning employees forgot to bring our tea then having given us a kettle, etc forgot to deliver milk the following. Reserves look fabulous however externally have not yet been landscaped/”wilded” into the panorama so appear stark and unappealing. Paths on the island present good walks but the invasive Rhododendron ponticum is being allowed a free reign blotting out vistas, threatening to encroach on paths and is denying native flora their habitat. At “Sir Ian’s Lookout” trees need topped/pruned to preserve this lookout as this had turn out to be mono-directional with the view to the west and extra open sea largely crammed by bushes. We did recognize that it is troublesome to keep up 300 acres though and we did prefer the “wildness” to any over-management or manicuring of this very particular, small island.
The restaurant employees had been pleasant and educated. The food was amazing even for Michelin commonplace. Unfortunately the decor inside the hotel was less than normal. There were several walls that have been a multitude, in want of a good lick of paint. Also the principle body of it could possibly be cleaner, the stairs had been frequently dirty in want of vacuuming and there was a dead wasp on the touchdown window sill the entire time we had been there!

Isle Of Eriska Hotel Spa & Golf
The workers though desperate to please weren’t as professional. Everything was nice aside from the price of drinks. Significantly overestimated – my solely criticism for an otherwise excellent three nights. I was particularly annoyed that they don’t have any vegetarian choices at breakfast, regardless of having a vegetarian dinner menu. The only factor was the swimming pool space which badly needs a refurb.
